Module 2

One-day theoretical and practical course, dedicated to the basic ultrasound study of the lower limb: hip, knee, foot, and ankle.

 Each anatomical region will be systematically studied and treated as follows:

• Ultrasound device settings and the use of the probe
• Basic U/S patterns
• Essential anatomical scanning
• Sono-anatomy
• Standardized U/S examination: tutorial
• Standardized U/S examination: U/S lab, practical session

Aims: To teach U/S device settings and the basic standardized U/S examination of the lower limb, recognizing physiological patterns in the relevant anatomical structures, the first essential step to understanding musculoskeletal pathology.

Participants: Physicians who wish to learn about U/S investigation techniques for lower limb articulations.
