CADAVER-LAB, one-day practical course dedicated to the U/S-guided infiltration of the shoulder, hip and knee.

 

Each anatomical region will be systematically studied and treated as follows:

• Anatomical dissection of specimen
• Ultrasound device settings
• U/S infiltration landmarks
• Correct use of the probe and on-plane and out of plane US-guided procedures
• List of basic pathologies of targeted articulations that can be infiltrated under U/S guidance
• U/S-guided procedures setting
• Ultrasound guided performed independently and also under instructor supervision of shoulder, hip and knee

 

Aims:  To refresh the knowledge and expertise acquired during the different MSK modules and to achieve the ability to recognize the correct approach for intra-articular infiltrations. The practical sessions on human cadaver will allow to better understand the topographic anatomy of the regions of interest and the correct relationship between the relevant anatomical structures.

 

Participants: Physicians completing the International IBSA Academy, who wish to encounter interventional U/S techniques for the investigation and infiltrative treatment for acute and chronic degenerative pathologies of the shoulder, hip and knee.
