Module 1

One-day theoretical and practical course, dedicated to basic ultrasound study of the upper limb: shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist.

Each anatomical region will be systematically studied and treated as follows:

• Ultrasound device settings and the use of the probe
• Basic U/S patterns
• Essential anatomical scanning
• Sono-anatomy
• Standardized U/S examination: tutorial
• Standardized U/S examination: U/S lab, practical session

Aims: To teach U/S device settings and the basic standardized U/S examination of the upper limb, recognizing physiological patterns in the relevant anatomical structures, the first essential step to understanding musculoskeletal pathology.

Participants: Physicians who wish to learn about U/S investigation techniques for upper limb articulations.
